Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (MS REHAB) nurse in Peoria, Illinois. This position involves working on a post-acute rehabilitation floor, providing care for patients with neurological, trauma, cardiac, and complex medical conditions, including trachs but excluding ventilator-dependent patients. The role emphasizes strong neuro skills, participation in team conferences, and adapting to float assignments within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients with neurological, trauma, cardiac, and complex medical conditions
• Participate in team conferences
• Float to long-term acute care or medical-surgical units as required

Schedule

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Illinois licensed registered nurse with at least 1 year of experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Willingness to wait for license submission

Qualifications

Preferred: Experience in neuro nursing and acute inpatient rehab.

Unit Details

• 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio (day shift)
• 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio (night shift)
• EPIC charting system
• Orientation: 2 days of classroom training plus 2-3 shifts with a preceptor, focusing on QRP and rehab documentation
