Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves providing specialized pre-operative care for surgical patients, including verifying consents and medication review, as well as phase 2 post-operative recovery. The position offers opportunities to work closely with surgical teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verifying consents
• Medication review
• Assessing patients
• Providing phase 2 post‑operative care
• Supporting PACU RN on call
• Managing patient care with a nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 1:3
• Working weekdays and weekends with a 24‑hour weekend call

Requirements

• Valid nursing license
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of relevant healthcare experience

• IV insertion
• EPIC Optime

• EKG
• Glucometer
• Pneumatic device
• Perioperative care experience in pre‑operative and phase 2 recovery
