Travel Nurse RN - Preoperative - $1,955 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Preoperative for a 13-week assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Job Summary

The role involves preparing surgical patients for surgery and providing phase 2 recovery services in a hospital setting. The candidate will support the units staffing needs during daytime hours, ensuring patient care standards are maintained.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026, with shifts beginning around 5:30 AM depending on surgery schedule. The schedule may include 4 days per week, with one closing day requiring staff to stay until the last patient leaves and to work after 7:00 PM. The unit does not operate on weekends or holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience in IV starts, moderate sedation, preoperative and phase 2 recovery.
• Must have skills in IV starts and moderate sedation, and experience preparing surgical patients and providing phase 2 recovery services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing procedures such as nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan-Ganz catheter placements.
• Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required.

Pay package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
