About the role

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position providing family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting. The RN will float between multiple hospital campuses as needed, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple hospital campuses, utilizing the nursing process.
• Accountable for professional practice, including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.
• Care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients, trauma patients, or pre-operative, immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minnesota RN license or Minnesota Temporary Permit-RN.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Minimum of 18 months Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing experience or 18 months pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) nursing experience.
• Minimum of 2.0 years of pediatric ICU nursing experience.
• Competence to care for pre-operative, immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients (if CVICU experience).

Schedule

• Day shifts, 12-hour shifts.
• Minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Start date: 09/14/2026.
• Duration: 11 weeks.
• Float rotation may be required.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
