About the role
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Minneapolis, MN. This role involves providing family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a PICU environment, utilizing the nursing process across two hospitals. The position offers flexibility to float between facilities as needed, with scheduled shifts during daytime hours.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care in a PICU setting
- Maintain professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in collaboration with other healthcare team members
- Care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients and trauma patients, or care for pre-operative, immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients (if CVICU experience)
- Float between facilities as required
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Minnesota RN license or Minnesota Temporary Permit for RN
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- 18 months PICU nursing experience or 18 months pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) nursing experience
Schedule
- Day shifts, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Duration: 11 weeks
- Start Date: 09/14/2026 (orientations scheduled for 08/10/2026 and potentially 08/24/2026)

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
