Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN travel position in Colorado Springs, providing specialized 12-hour night care for pediatric patients in a 16-bed unit with an average daily census of 8-9 patients. This role requires flexible scheduling, including weekends and holiday coverage, within a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in a 16-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Adapt to flexible scheduling, including weekends and holiday coverage.
- Float rotation may be required, covering NICU, Pediatric Medical-Surgical, and Emergency Department units.
- Assist with helping hands as needed across units.
- Must work observed holidays if they fall within the contract period.
- Documentation in Peds Connect (EPIC) required.
Requirements
- Active Colorado RN license or Compact RN license.
- BSN required.
- Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
- BLS and PALS certifications required.
- TNCC and ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments.
- Must be available to work two of the three major holidays within the contract period.
- No requested time off approved during the first two weeks (RTO blackout dates apply).
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Minimum 36 hours per week.
- Duration: 14 weeks.
- Start Date: 10/06/2026.
- No on-call requirement.
- Can be canceled every 4 weeks.

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
