Responsibilities

• Provide care for pediatric cancer patients throughout all stages of their condition, focusing on the acute phase.
• Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal in managing disease and treatment.
• Administer chemotherapy and implement new methods of symptom treatment.
• Monitor patient progress and educate patients and families about treatment options, procedures, and disease particularities.
• Create a supportive environment for patients and families.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care pediatric oncology setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility.
