MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel assignment in Norfolk, Virginia. The role is for a Pediatric Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) providing care to critically or chronically ill pediatric cancer patients, administering chemotherapy, implementing symptom treatment, monitoring progress, educating patients and families, and creating a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for pediatric cancer patients throughout all stages of their condition, focusing on the acute phase.
• Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal in managing disease and treatment.
• Administer chemotherapy and implement new methods of symptom treatment.
• Monitor patient progress and create a supportive environment.
• Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and particularities of the disease.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Pediatric Oncology setting.
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.
