Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics at a healthcare facility in Norfolk, VA. This position involves providing specialized pediatric care within a 19-bed unit, with potential overflow support in additional units. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care across various pediatric diagnoses and treatment areas, adhering to established clinical protocols and safety standards. All clinicians must have a current flu vaccine, with no exceptions accepted during flu season. The unit includes 19 beds, with flexibility to support up to 26 beds during overflow periods.

Responsibilities

• Providing specialized pediatric care within a 19-bed unit, with potential overflow support in additional units.
• Delivering high-quality patient care across various pediatric diagnoses and treatment areas.
• Adhering to established clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Caring for pediatric patients with a variety of conditions including endocrine issues, general surgeries, respiratory illnesses, and chronic complex care.
• Managing specialized procedures such as insulin pump therapy, oxygen delivery, IV infusions, and tracheostomy care.
• No float rotation required.

Requirements

• Valid RN license.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
• 1 year of relevant pediatric nursing experience.
• Education from an accredited nursing program.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Meet all clinical and licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with pediatric intensive care.
• Familiarity with pediatric clinical procedures such as diabetes management, ventilator support, and central line care.
