Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $3,752 per week

About the Role

ND Global Consulting Services is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Johnson City, New York. This is a 13-week travel position with a start date of 09/14/2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a cardiac telemetry stepdown/PCU unit, including those with TAVR, Watchman’s, mitral clips, heart catheterizations, and pre/post-op open-heart surgery (when transferred out of CVICU).
• Manage cardiac IV and PO medications, including cardiac drips at a flat rate (e.g., cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, lidocaine, milrinone, heparin, insulin).
• Care for patients with conditions such as anticoagulation therapy, CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias, NSTEMI, STEMI, PE, post-op CABG (greater than 3 days), sepsis, pneumonia, stroke, and observation patients.
• Perform groin management, use TR bands, and recognize complications associated with cardiac procedures.
• Complete skills checklists accurately and ensure compliance with unit protocols.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with specific experience in a cardiac telemetry department.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system.

Schedule

• 13-week assignment.
• 48 hours per week (12-hour night shifts).
• Every other weekend required.
