Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,758 per week

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend
• Call requirements only if census is low

Responsibilities

• Care for a 36-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:5-6 for Cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown population
• Manage cardiac patient populations, including chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and cardiac stepdown populations
• Treat common diagnoses such as chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre & post open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular, and CHF
• Float as required

Requirements

• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and Cerner EHR
• Skills in managing cardiac patient populations, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and cardiac stepdown populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PCU/stepdown patient populations
• Low-level ICU skills
