Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $3,060 per week
About the role
Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 10-week assignment starting July 27, 2026.
Responsibilities
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
- Float to all inpatient units as needed
- Low census eligible in hour increments, typically in 4-hour increments; unit may request traveler work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
- 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit - fast paced with high patient turnover
- Patient ratio typically 1:4
- Patient population includes post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute chest pain/MI, med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
- Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire
- Candidates must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips
- Minimum 1 year of strong cardiac experience required (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
- Minimum 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
- At least one prior travel assignment required
- Minimum 1 year recent Epic charting experience required
- Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC), and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Scrub colors: any color

- The facility operates a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit that serves a diverse and complex patient population, providing high-acuity care in a fast-paced environment.

Skills
- Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
