Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,680 per week

About the role

Pediatric Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) positions are available for travel assignments in an organizational setting specializing in pediatric cardiac care. These roles involve providing specialized nursing care for children with complex cardiac conditions, including single ventricle physiology, heart transplants, and ventricular assist devices. The positions require pediatric cardiac experience and are scheduled for nights, with the possibility of float to other units within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric patients with complex cardiac conditions, including single ventricle physiology, heart transplants, and ventricular assist devices.
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float to other units within the facility as required.
• Work two major holidays and one minor holiday during the assignment.

Requirements

• BSN required.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS.
• Minimum two years of Pediatric Cardiac Progressive Care or Cardiac Step-Down experience.
• Minimum one year of inpatient pediatric cardiology experience (ICU or Intermediate Care).
• Strong knowledge of pediatric three-stage single ventricle care.
• Ability to care for pediatric cardiology patients, including those with Single Ventricle, Heart Transplant, and Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD).
• Travel experience preferred.
• Seasonal influenza vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted).
• No Request for Time Off (RTO) approved during the first two weeks of the assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Pediatric Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) patients.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
• 36 hours per week minimum.
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks (01/05/2027 to 04/10/2027).
