The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse position is located in Carbondale, Illinois. This role involves providing patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment, caring for a wide variety of cardiac and respiratory patients with fluctuating acuity levels. Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Contribute to patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide patient education
• Demonstrate clinical judgment
• Manage conflict professionally
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in continuing education and core measure responsibilities

Schedule

Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• CPR/BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• 0 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit
