About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This 13-week assignment starts on 09/28/2026, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

• Unit details: 15 beds, 22 staff (RN/PCT)
• Day shift staffing: 3-4 RNs, 2 PCTs, 1 Clinical Coordinator
• Night shift staffing: 3-4 RNs, 1 PCT
• Patient ratios: 4-5 patients per RN
• EMR system: Meditech

Responsibilities

• Care for post-cardiac cath, EP studies, device placements, and post-op surgical patients
• Manage groin sites, chest tubes, critical drips, epidurals, and PCA
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Float to ICU (PCU-type patients), PCU, or Med-Surg (up to 5 patients)
• Work every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per assignment

Requirements

• PCU experience (required)
• Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patient care (required)
• Chest tube management and epidural experience (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Ability to work in a high-turnover environment (preferred)
• Strong teamwork and time management skills (preferred)
