About the role
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in Marquette, Michigan. This role involves providing specialized care within a 225-bed specialty hospital, including cardiac, trauma, and stepdown patient populations. The RN will monitor cardiac patients, manage cardiac drips, chest tubes, and deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac patients and manage cardiac drips
- Manage chest tubes
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
- Care for patients with conditions such as chest pain, Stroke/TIA, pre/post open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular conditions, and Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Requirements
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neuro ICU (NIH)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry units
- Experience with PCU or stepdown patient populations preferred
- Low-level Intensive Care Unit (ICU) skills preferred
Schedule
- Night shifts, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
