About the role

• Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on night shift
• 15-bed unit serving post-surgical and acute medical patients including orthopedic, urology, GYN/ONC, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, ENT, plastics, and GI
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, and occasionally nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and insulin
• Telemetry monitoring supported by remote technicians using GE system
• Respiratory therapy support available; equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen therapy — no ventilators
• Nursing assistants present on unit with RNs taking lower ratios on night shifts without a nursing assistant
• Charge nurse takes an assignment on all shifts with house supervisor present on all shifts
• Float required to other adult medical/surgical nursing units
• Block scheduling provided to the best of the facility's ability dependent on staffing — no self-scheduling
• Charting system: Cerner
• Any color scrubs required, must be clean and professional

Requirements

• 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility

Pay

Estimated gross weekly pay: $2,520 plus a $500 contract completion bonus.
