Responsibilities

  • 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
  • Float to all inpatient units as needed
  • Low census hours available in increments; unit may ask traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift as needed
  • Care for patients including post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
  • Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of strong cardiac experience required (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
  • Minimum 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
  • At least one prior travel assignment required
  • 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
  • Candidates must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips

Qualifications

  • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
  • Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
