About the role

The organization is seeking a Cardiovascular RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a 30-bed cardiac care unit that primarily manages patients with cardiac conditions, including acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-procedure care. This dynamic environment features rotating 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients with cardiac conditions such as acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-procedure care.
• Interpret telemetry and manage acute coronary syndrome cases.
• Provide post-cardiac catheterization patient care.
• Float to inpatient units including oncology, neurology, orthopedics, med/surg, and Intensive Medical Care Unit (IMCU) as required.
• Respond to low census periods with possible call responsibilities (minimum 2-hour call back).
• Work coverage on two weekends per month and every other holiday.
• Use Epic charting system for patient documentation.

Requirements

• Minnesota RN license.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• AHA or ARC Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification.
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience; 1 year of experience preferred.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel experience (1-2 assignments).
• Experience managing cardiac patients and interpreting telemetry.
• Knowledge of cardiac pharmacology.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
