About the role
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. This 13-week assignment offers a full-time schedule of day shifts, providing an opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The RN will supervise support staff and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the care process.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
- Develop individualized care plans
- Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and interventions
- Facilitate effective communication among care team members
- Ensure safety and quality in all clinical activities
- Demonstrate leadership by supervising ancillary staff
- Support team building and assume charge responsibilities as appropriate
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Contribute positively to the unit's operations and patient outcomes
Requirements
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift
- Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (if CIRH)
- Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a select medical environment is highly desired

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
