Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,035 per week

Job Summary

A registered nurse position is available in a step down unit at a healthcare facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The role involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from cardiac and other critical surgeries. The nurse will work night shifts, delivering high-quality patient care while managing rapid changes in patient conditions.

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Current Arkansas Licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• At least 2 years of experience in a step down or similar unit

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with post-coronary artery bypass surgeries
• Titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol)
• Bipaps
• Utilization of Airvos
• Able to recognize a deteriorating patient

Additional Information

Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, is required. The role involves working on a unit with designated patient ratios and equipment.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
