Travel Nurse RN - Palliative - $2,304 per week

About the role

This is a travel RN position specializing in Palliative Care at a well‑established hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin. The assignment is a 13‑week contract beginning on 10/05/2026, offering a flexible 12‑hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a 10‑bed Palliative Care unit with a 5:1 RN‑to‑patient ratio (2 RNs and 1 CNA per 10 patients).
• Deliver care to primary cases including palliative, comfort/hospice, and med/surg patients.
• Float to any inpatient unit as needed.
• Work 12‑hour variable shifts covering both days and nights, with a requirement to rotate every other weekend and holiday.
• Maintain 48 guaranteed hours per week; low‑census policy allows shift reduction in 4‑hour increments, with up to 36 hours of low‑census unbillable time.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.

Requirements

• Wisconsin RN license.
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification.
• Associate Degree or nursing certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience.
• 1 year of inpatient Palliative Care experience preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.

Skills

• Med/Surg nursing skill set.

Pay

Estimated gross weekly pay of $2,304 plus a $500 contract completion bonus. Additional tax‑free stipends are available for lodging, meals, and incidentals.

Schedule
