The position involves providing postoperative assessments, managing patient recovery, and educating patients and families on discharge care. The role requires strong clinical skills in managing ventilated patients and experience in PACU care. Job Details: Position Location: Weirton, West Virginia Shift: Days, 8 hours shifts, 40 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026 Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 1 year of PACU experience; experience with managing ventilated patients; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Common Cases: General, orthopedic, urology, vascular, podiatry, and more Duties: Conduct postoperative assessments, monitor recovery, provide pain management, educate patients and families on postoperative care, medications, and follow-up Additional Information: The unit maintains a 50-mile radius rule for submissions. All candidates must include a copy of their unexpired drivers license at submission. Patients recover from ICU in the PACU, and RNs are expected to read and interpret telemonitors. Orientation includes 3-5 days with a preceptor. There may be holiday rotation and weekend call requirements.
