Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This position involves providing post-operative recovery care for patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center with a large medical center setting.
Job Details
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Schedule: Rotating shifts; 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
Active, unencumbered Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required to apply
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / Health Care Provider (HCP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
Telemetry experience required; Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience highly preferred
Two (2) or more years of full-time Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Phase I/II staff RN experience in a comparable size/type medical center (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center) not including travel assignments
Preferred Qualifications
CPI (or equivalent) and NIHSS certifications preferred
Specialty certifications such as CCRN, CPAN, PCCN highly desired
Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred
Trauma Level experience and teaching hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date; failure to do so will result in delay or cancellation of the assignment
If the RN is not needed on their unit or a similar unit as an RN, they will be assigned to perform nursing assistant or safety sitter role, which is expected
A 48-hour contract is also available
