Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $2,400 per week

About the role

We're looking for Post Anesthesia Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in [citSt]. As a PACU RN, you'll provide observation and care for post‑operative patients as they recover from surgical anesthesia, monitoring for adverse reactions and determining when patients are ready to transfer to a room.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's condition.
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.

Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning for diverse age groups.
• Monitoring of critical patients and timely physician communication.
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, bending, leaning, and stooping.
• Safe lifting techniques (up to 20 lb routine, up to 50 lb for patient handling).
