About the role
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a Level III Trauma Operating Room. The role involves caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients following surgical procedures. The RN will work a rotating shift schedule, including evenings and weekends, in a complex community setting. The position requires providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, adhering to aseptic techniques, and utilizing experience with advanced surgical systems.
Responsibilities

- Adhere to aseptic techniques
- Utilize experience with advanced surgical systems
Schedule
- Shifts are 8 or 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Rotation to 2-3 evenings per 4-week schedule
- 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- On-call required for 1 holiday, 2-3 weekday calls, and 1-2 weekend calls per schedule
- Weekend shifts include call responsibilities
Requirements
- Valid Massachusetts RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years working in one location and 2 years working as a traveler
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
- Scrub experience
Additional Information
- Unit handles approximately 30-40 patients daily, with a bed count of 15
- EMR used is EPIC
- This position does not require floating shifts
