About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Provide PACU care for post-anesthesia patients
- Manage patient ratios of max 2:1
- Use EMR system: Epic
- Operate equipment including NIBP, Art Line, Chest Tubes, and Tele monitoring
- Care for patients undergoing all surgeries except transplants, eyes, and peds
- Float rarely to phase 2/SDS area
- Take 2 call shifts per 4-week schedule block (weekend calls only)
- Work holiday call as required
Requirements
- Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care
- Discipline: RN
- Start Date: 10/05/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- Shift: 10 hours, days (11:00 AM - 9:00 PM)
- PCU level care or higher experience
- Previous PACU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with sedation/recovery of patients
Unit details
- Number of Beds: 19 bays
- Number of Staff: variable daily, 8-12 RNs
- Type of staff: RNs with 1-2 orderlies (day shift); RNs with 1 orderly (night shift)
