Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $2,193 per week

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of PACU experience, with strong candidates possessing 3-5 years of experience. First-time travelers will be considered if they meet the experience requirements. Position located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, start date 10/26/2026, 13‑week contract, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU.
• Provide care for diverse patient populations, including pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Administer medications and implement care plans according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on post‑operative care and discharge instructions.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Maryland or compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PACU setting; additional 2 years of ICU experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

3×12‑hour day shifts: Days (07:30 – 20:00), totaling 36 hours per week.
