About the role
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Somerset, KY. This position involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia across a diverse patient population in a state-of-the-art facility. The role requires managing ventilator care, monitoring glucose levels, and assisting with various service lines including neuro, ortho, and urology.
Responsibilities
- Manage ventilator care for patients recovering from anesthesia
- Monitor glucose levels
- Assist with service lines such as neuro, ortho, and urology
- Participate in Preop/PACU float rotation as required
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Two or more years of relevant experience
- Ability to care for all ages, including pediatric patients
- Capability to manage ventilator patients
Qualifications
- Ability to handle ICU-level patient recovery and beds
- Experience with ventilator, arterial line, Foley, chest tubes
- Experience with pediatric patients (1:1)
- Ability to assist with blocks
