Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,795 per week
AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Operating Room assignment in Portland, Maine.
About the role
This is a 13-week travel nursing position with a start date of 08/24/2026. The facility is a 929-bed academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence. The 26-bed OR handles multiple specialties including General, Pediatrics, Open Vascular and Endovascular, Neuro, ENT, DaVinci Robotics, Ortho trauma, Ortho Joints, Plastics, Dental, GU, and GYN. You will assist with a variety of surgical procedures, maintain sterile technique, and document care using EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Portland, located about 2 hours north of Boston, features a vibrant waterfront, historic architecture, a lively arts scene, and access to outdoor activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of surgical procedures
- Maintain sterile technique in the operating room
- Document patient care using EPIC EMR systems
Requirements
- 2 years of OR nursing experience
- Active RN license (Compact accepted)
- BLS certification from AHA
- Minimum 2 years of Level I Trauma center experience
- Proof of Flu vaccination
- 2 professional references covering entire work history
- SSN and date of birth required for compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- EPIC experience
- CNOR certification
Pay
Pay rate: $2,725.00 - $2,865.00 per week for 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week.
