The position requires coordination of patient care throughout the intraoperative phase, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient surgical workflow. Job Details Position Description: The circulating nurse in the operating room is responsible for patient safety, documentation, workflow coordination, and sterile field support during surgical procedures. Involves managing a diverse caseload including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology (GYN), Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry. Certifications & Education Requirements: Valid BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. Experience: 2+ years of operating room nursing experience required. Schedule: Evenings shift, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: The candidate must have at least 2 years of operating room nursing experience, valid BLS certification, and meet the educational and requirements standards. Additional Information: The position involves split call coverage, with weekday calls from 3 PM to 7 AM and weekend 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM, shared among nursing staff. Candidates must have the ability to work up to 48 hours weekly and complete fingerprinting as required by the state of New Mexico prior to placement. Scrubs are hospital-laundered and provided. A minimum RTO of 1 week is permitted. No floating required.
