Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,460 per week
Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technician in Iowa. This role involves supporting the surgical team in outpatient surgeries and infusion procedures, with responsibilities including equipment preparation, assisting during procedures, and maintaining sterile environments. The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple local campuses, providing valuable clinical experience in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge in the provision and management of care to patients as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Support the surgical team in outpatient surgeries and infusion procedures, including equipment preparation and assisting during procedures.
- Maintain sterile environments.
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
- Manage patient ratios of 3:1, supporting outpatient surgeries and infusion patients, with some titrations (Blood, Platelets, IVIG, IV fluids, Antibiotics; no chemotherapy).
Requirements
- Iowa nursing license.
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the OR.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year.
- License verification and copy of required certifications.
- Supervisory reference.
- Experience with EPIC EMR system.
- AED and mandatory reporter compliant.
- Taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.
Schedule
- Day shifts, 8 hours per day.
- Minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Mandatory orientation begins August 31 and September 14, with subsequent sessions through December.
- May include weekend and holiday on-call coverage.
