Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,564 per week

About the role

An Oncology Nurse provides and supervises nursing care for cancer patients. The role involves monitoring patient condition, administering medications, and educating cancer patients about treatment options and the particularities of the disease.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient health records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and families about their diagnosis, treatment plans, and disease management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
• At least one year of oncology nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of oncology nursing practices and protocols.
