Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,562 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a travel nursing assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. This outpatient clinic position requires a minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year of current Oncology experience and completion of at least one 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients including vital signs, review of systems, medication reconciliation, and weight
• Obtaining orders and processing patients for infusions/communication if cleared
• Chart checks and setup for procedures
• Review of referrals
• Serve as first assist and chaperone for provider with exams and procedures performed in clinic
• Work routinely with different physicians within Medical Oncology

Requirements

• Active RN license
• 1.5 years of nursing experience minimum
• 1 year current Oncology experience required
• Completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
• BLS certification required
• ONS certification required
• OCN certification preferred
• Epic Ambulatory experience required
• Clinic experience required

Schedule

• 4 10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Day off varies based on clinic needs each week
• No weekends, no call, no major holidays (may work minor holidays when clinic is open)
• Time off may be approved up to 7 days (excluding holidays) if traveler extends contract to accommodate

Unit details

• Patient population: 18+ years old, Medical Oncology/Hematology, Hematology BMT (pre-transplant and post-transplant)
• Average patients seen per day: approximately 15-25 with CA support
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
