Responsibilities

• Provide specialized patient care to oncology patients in a Medical Surgical Oncology unit
• Access portacath or demonstrate willingness to learn
• Handle oncology-specific equipment
• Work every third weekend
• Adhere to unit dress code and policies

Requirements

• Valid and active compact nursing license
• Minimum of two years of hospital-based oncology experience
• BLS certification
• Proficiency in handling oncology-specific equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech documentation system
• Familiarity with oncology protocols and procedures
• Ability to work at least 36 hours per week during scheduled dates

Additional Information

• Newly renovated unit with advanced call bell systems, new vital sign machines, scales, and IV pumps
• Staffing includes a mix of nurses and patient care technicians
• Staffing ratios of approximately 1:4 to 1:5
• One day shift and one night shift granted PTO at a time
