Travel Nurse RN - NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - $2,129 per week

About the role

Travel RN NICU position at Parkridge East Hospital (941 Spring Creek Road, Chattanooga, TN 37412). The unit is a 23‑bed Level III/IV NICU with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4 based on acuity, no dedicated techs or unit secretaries, and uses Giraffe Omnibed, Panda warmer, Drager vent, oscillator, Alaris IV pump, syringe feeding pump, nasal cannula, bubble/vent CPAPs, NIPPV, neo‑T resuscitator. Documentation is performed in Centricity Perinatal and Meditech. Start date 10/26/2026, 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform PIV insertion, feeding tube insertion, lab draws, straight catheterization, central line management, airway/respiratory management (in conjunction with RRT).
• Assist RRT/provider with intubation, surfactant administration, central line placement, chest tube placement, etc.
• Provide neonatal intensive care using the unit’s specialized equipment.
• Document patient care in Centricity Perinatal and Meditech systems.

Requirements

• Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
• Minimum one year of NICU nursing experience.
• Level III or IV NICU experience/skill set.
• Willingness to work variable weekends and take standby/call when census is low.
• Ability to float to mother‑baby as a tech if desired (occasional need).

Schedule

36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with occasional optional overtime and variable weekends; standby/call availability preferred during low census.
