About the Role
AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) position in Winston Salem, North Carolina. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts. The role involves caring for critically ill newborns in a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit within a state-of-the-art, single-bed facility. The unit operates with a multidisciplinary team and a collaborative, family-centered culture, covering service lines such as neonatal surgery, respiratory care, and advanced therapies for premature and high-risk infants.
Responsibilities
- Care for critically ill newborns in a Level IV NICU
- Monitor vital signs and administer medications
- Document care in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- At least 1 year of recent NICU experience
- 1 reference in the last 12 months
