About the role
Travel RN Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery position in Richmond, VA. Care for critically ill and premature newborns in a specialized hospital unit. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with neonatologists and respiratory therapists to stabilize infants and support families.
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs of critically ill and premature newborns
- Administer medications
- Collaborate with neonatologists and respiratory therapists
- Stabilize infants and support families
- Float within New Life Center or to outside NICU units
- Perform procedures including Bubble CPAP, vents, umbilical lines, PIVs, arterial sticks, peripheral blood draws, heel sticks, and neonatal resuscitation
- Conduct strong clinical assessments
Requirements
- Current Virginia RN license or a compact license
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- At least 1 year of recent neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) experience
- 3 years RN NICU Level III experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (copy needed)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (copy needed)
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- SSN and date of birth required
- 1 reference from entire work history
- RN permanent address must be over 50 miles away
