About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse for a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) assignment in Alexandria, Louisiana. This is a travel position with local contract options also available.

Responsibilities

• Care for COVID-19 patients
• Manage ventilators and critical care drips
• Perform accurate and thorough patient assessments
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems
• Don and doff PPE properly
• Perform unit procedures including:
  • Intubations
  • Cardioversions
  • Ventriculostomy drain placement and management
  • IABP management
  • Continual renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
  • Proning of patients

Requirements

• ICU experience
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills
• Desire for excellence and self-motivation
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a diverse environment
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (required)
  • BLS (required)
  • TNCC (preferred)
