Travel Nurse RN - MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $1,904 per week

About the Role

Travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. This is a 13-week assignment starting 09/07/2026 with a 36-hour work week on 12-hour night shifts.

Unit Specifics

• 26-bed unit with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Staffing includes RNs and a unit secretary/COVID runner; total care provided by RNs
• Equipment used: ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers, iMobile phones, and PPE (masks, face shields, goggles, PAPRs, and hoods for COVID-19 patients)
• Documentation system: Meditech with Evidence Based Clinical Documentation (EBCD)
• Scheduling: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), every other weekend, holiday requirements
• Floating policy: Nurses may float to other Medical-Surgical Units with priority for Intensive Care Units
• Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, completion of “My Care Board” during hand-off, use of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) with compassionate connected care
