HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) position in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role requires a commitment to caring for COVID-19 patients and thrives in a diverse, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced critical care procedures, including:
  • Ventilator management
  • Critical care drip knowledge
  • Thorough and accurate patient assessments
  • Management of cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems
  • Donning and doffing of PPE
• Execute unit-specific procedures, such as:
  • Intubations
  • Cardioversions
  • Ventriculostomy drain placement and management
  • IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) management
  • Continual Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
  • Proning of patients
• Maintain a positive attitude, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills
• Demonstrate self-motivation, excellent communication, and people skills
• Strive for excellence in patient care

Requirements

• ICU experience
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – preferred but not required
