Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $1,790 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Shelby, NC. Provides comprehensive nursing care on a 32-bed unit within a Level 3 Trauma and Stroke Center, managing a diverse patient population including post-operative cases, medical overflow, and other acute diagnoses, following standard protocols in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on a 32-bed unit.
• Manage diverse patient population: post-operative, medical overflow, acute diagnoses.
• Follow standard protocols in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, wound care, drain/tube management, PIV and central line management.
• Administer cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and Phillips monitors.
• Complete 2‑day orientation on the department and unit.
• Participate in weekend rotation every other week.
• May be called back for low census.
• Work holidays with arrangement of up to 6 days off (excluding holidays).
• Float within region and scope of practice as required.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Valid North Carolina nursing license.
• Minimum 18 months of current Med/Surg/Telemetry experience.
• Willingness to float within region and scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate or higher degree in Nursing.

Skills
