Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $1,693 per week

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Med Surg / Telemetry assignment in Columbia, South Carolina.

About the Role

This is a 13-week travel contract at a hospital, with a start date of 09/08/2026. The position requires 36 hours per week on a 12-hour shift (19:00 - 07:30).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on an orthopedic spine unit specializing in spinal surgeries such as laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies.
• Administer bedside lumbar punctures, post-Cath care, post-surgical care, post renal biopsies, CT Angio, and Heparin drips.
• Collaborate with physical therapy, pain management, and mobility support teams.
• Monitor patients with diagnoses including Med/Surg, Tele, cardiac, low-risk ACS, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and PE.
• Float to other units or campuses as needed with documented competencies.

Requirements

• Active SC or multistate RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• 1 year of EPIC experience required.
• Orthopedic experience required.
• Every other weekend requirement (6 weekend shifts total).
• Accepts first-time travelers and local candidates within radius rule.
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Pay

Pay range: $1,791.07 - $1,880.62 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
