Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $3,072 per week

About the Role

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. This is a 13-week contract with 48 hours per week, working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Estimated gross weekly pay is $3072, with a $500 contract completion bonus.

Responsibilities

• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday rotation as required
• Treat adult patients with conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Work independently, complete tasks in a timely manner, and collaborate with team and ancillary staff
• Maintain a positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes throughout a shift

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN License
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred

Schedule & Shift Details

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed (unit will typically low census in 4-hour increments and may request a traveler work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift; this is not considered on call)

Patient Ratios & Unit Information

• Typical patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights
• Travelers on the MAP (Medical and Pediatrics) unit do not take pediatric patients
• Scrub colors: any color
