Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,910 per week

About the role

Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment starting August 17, 2026, in Peoria, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Work 48 hours per week on a 12-hour, night shift schedule.
• Work every other weekend, including Saturdays and Sundays.
• Float in rotation with the rest of the staff, taking full team responsibilities.
• Be available for urgent needs in other units if floated outside the general unit.
• Follow scrub color/dress code requirements: no scrub color, tattoos covered, no piercings except ears.

Requirements

• Current IL license.
• BLS, NIHSS certification.
• Level I Trauma certification.
• No first-time travelers.
• Previous travel experience.
• Prior dedicated neuro unit experience.

Qualifications

• Nurses must be licensed in Illinois.
• Must have BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Must have Level I Trauma certification.
• No first-time travelers will be considered.
• Must have previous travel experience.
• Must have prior dedicated neuro unit experience.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, head injury, and neuroscience care.
