About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Observation Unit is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This role requires competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population and adheres to the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Implement nursing interventions based on assessment findings and established standards of care.
  • Evaluate patient progress and make adjustments to care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • 2 years of RN - Medical/Surgical experience.
  • Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC.
  • Requires American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment.
  • Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through education at an accredited School of Nursing, qualifying for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Associate’s degree in nursing.
  • Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.

Pay
