Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,340 per week

About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population. The job description incorporates essential functions adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).

Responsibilities

• Achieve quality outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patients' needs.
• Evaluate patients' responses to care and make necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and performing basic diagnostic tests.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education.

Requirements

• 2 years of RN - Medical/Surgical experience
• Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
• Requires American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, typically acquired through a minimum of two years of education at an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s degree in nursing.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Midnight shift, 11am - 11pm, 36 hour a week, 12-hour shifts with every third weekend.
