Job Summary

Certifications

• BLS (AHA) required

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Illinois license or confirmation of application process, 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing, and active IL license required
• Experience: Experience in general medical units
• Skills: Strong teamwork and communication skills

Unit Information

• Bed Count: 20
• Patient Ratios: 1:4/5 on day shift and 1:5/6 on night shift
• PCTs Available: 1:6/7 on days and 1:10 on nights

Staffing and Supervision

• Charge Nurses: Present 24/7
• Nurse Aides/PCTs: Available around the clock

Monitoring

• Telemetry Patients: Monitored via Phillips monitors at a central station
• Radiology: Bedside RNs do not read strips

Schedule & Requirements

• Every Other Weekend: Required
• 3 of 6 Holidays: Required
• Call or Standby: Based on staffing needs
• Floating: Rotational with travel RNs being first to float

Dress Code

• Scrubs: No specific color preference
• No Scrub Provision: Required

Orientation

• Facility-Specific Orientation: 3 days

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
