About the role
Cross Country Nurses is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit in Petoskey, Michigan. This unit provides patient-centered care for a diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke. The qualified candidate will be part of a fast-paced, evidence-based environment focused on delivering high-quality care and positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Utilize clinical pathways
- Provide patient education
- Maintain effective communication
Requirements
- Valid Michigan nursing license
- BLS (AHA) certification
- 2+ years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Experience in Level II or I trauma settings
- Physical copies of certifications if applicable
Qualifications
- Experience in a med surg setting outside of float or telemetry units (preferred)
- Travel experience (preferred)
Schedule
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum 36 hours per week
