Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,205 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical Nurse (MedSurg RN) in the Aspirus Iron River area. This 13-week contract positions experienced registered nurses to provide general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and diabetes. The role involves working night shifts, including every weekend, with potential float to the Emergency Department within competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care in a 25-bed Med/Surg unit
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:6 during night shifts
• Focus on geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Work night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., including every weekend
• Potential float to the Emergency Department within competency

Requirements

• Current Michigan registered nurse license
• AHA Basic Life Support certification
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing
• 2+ years of Med/Surg experience
• Minimum 36 hours per week

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• Experience in Emergency Department settings (preferred)

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• Every weekend
• Minimum 36 hours per week
